Durations of Workshop:
As a Pilates instructor over 70% of your class will at some point tell you they have back pain. Clients who have had a back problem may be referred to you by a physiotherapist, chiropractor or osteopath. Don’t be afraid to have these clients in your class as this course will develop your understanding of back complaints, terminology and advanced anatomy of the spine. This course will take your knowledge of exercise and back pain to another level and show you how to adapt exercises and include exercises that are appropriate for a range of back conditions including arthritis, spondylosis, prolapsed disc, osteoporosis, spondylolisthesis and ankylosing spondylitis. This practical and theory course also focuses on the function and strength of the abdominals and back muscles and enables you to create a more balanced programme for all your clients.
