Rebecca's interest in fitness came from her passion for dance which she still does today. She gained a Degree in Physical Activity Exercise and Health at Leeds Metropolitan University and at the same time undertook her ETM course with Northern Fitness, which enabled her to teach and earn some money while she was studying.

Whilst on the course, even though there was a lot of theory knowledge, she soon realised that she would not get a job in the fitness industry without gaining her Personal Trainer Award (PTA). In her last year at uni she also undertook all the modules in the PTA whilst gaining experience working in a gym at LA Fitness.

Once she qualified she wanted to get away from all that studying, learning and exams! so went travelling around the world for a year where she decided that she would have a career change. Rebecca came home and undertook the Assessor Training Award and now works for NFE as an Assessor and student support tutor within the office.

For the past 2 years she has retrained as an Operating Department Practitioner and now works at St James' and LGI hospitals in Leeds. She enjoys the combination of working in the NHS, teaching classes and assessing. Mum is really happy that she works in the family business!!
