The Mechanical Copyright Protection Society Ltd. (MCPS) are the licence providers in this instance. At present the smallest licence which can be obtained is around £250 and allows up to 5,000 tracks to be copied onto another format.

An instructor holding an MCPS licence to copy music would still require a PPL licence to play the music in classes. In addition, all venues in which the instructor teaches must hold a PRS licence.
