Pregnant women who take aquaerobics have less painful birth – Telegraph & others

A study from the University of Campinas in Sao Paulo suggests pregnant women who regularly take aquarobics classes are 50 per cent less likely to need pain relief during labour. Researchers divided 71 pregnant women into two groups for the study, published in the journal Reproductive Health. The first group of 34 women undertook 50 minutes of aquarobics three times a week and the second group, comprising 37 women, did not do any regular physical exercise during their pregnancy.
